ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
TWO DAY NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN APPLIED PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE
The Department of Physics is proposing to organize a “International Conference in Applied Physics and Materials Science” during 17-19th December 2021.
Applied Physics and materials sciences are interdisciplinary subjects that encompass a host of research areas including new and novel materials such as Glasses, Polymers, Luminescent Materials, Functional Materials, Magnetic Materials, Superconductors, Semiconductors, Creamics, Waste Material Management, Eco-friendly material processing, Radiation Dosimetry, Gems, Fuel Cells, Solar Cells, Ferroelectrics, Nano Materials etc.
Hence the main objective of the conference is to converge, various ideas of distinguished personalities as well as budding researchers and students in the field of applied physics and materials science and thereby creating a platform for synergy of new ideas.
Today the faculty members working in various universities, research institutions and Engineering colleges are carrying out research focusing on diverse fields of new materials and their characterization.
The Department of Physics, Vasavi College of Engineering felt a need to aid the research activities of the faculty members through interaction with experienced and eminent scientists working in the fields of condensed matter physics at different National Research Laboratories such as AERB, HCU, IICT (Hyd) etc by organizing a two day National conference in materials science.
The conference paves a path to the faculty members working in self financed Engineering and other professional colleges without a doctoral degree to pursue their research and upgrade their qualifications. This helps in turn to strengthen their knowledge and dissimilates quality education to the students. The faculty members with doctoral degree can continue and sustain their research activity with new ideas generated from the deliberations of this conference.
