CURRICULAR REFORMS

It was decided to bring in reforms to the curriculum of Civil Engineering in order to bring it in tune with the current state of art/needs of industry and research. Accordingly, the following courses have been introduced:

  • C- Programming and Data Structures (Theory and Laboratory)
  • Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Civil Engineering
  • Soft Computing in Civil Engineering (includes Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic and Genetic Algorithms)
  • Finite Element Method (Theory and Laboratory)
  • Minor in Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

Currently training is being offered to the students in the following software:

  • AutoCAD
  • REVIT architecture
  • STAAD Pro
  • Arc GIS /ERDAS Imagine
  • BEST
  • Primavera

In addition, beginning with this academic year students are given exposure to the following software:

  • PLAXIS
  • EPANET
  • MX Road
  • ABAQUS
  • MAT Lab
