SafeAura: Fashion-Powered Smart Jewelry for Enhancing Women's Personal Safety Using AI and IoT
SafeAura envisions an innovative combination of style and safety in the guise of AI-enabled smart jewelry aimed at arming women with unobtrusive, technology-based personal security. The goal is to create and implement a stylish and socially appropriate smart wearable (pendant) incorporating microelectronics that provides real-time distress notification, AI-driven voice and gesture recognition, GPS location tracking, and mobile app connectivity. The solution fills the gap between wearability and safety while making sure that users do not have to sacrifice style or usability. The project will use low-power microcontrollers, Bluetooth/GSM modules, panic trigger activators, vibration alerts, and a companion mobile app for real-time location sharing. This intelligent jewelry shall give both manual and automatic SOS triggering through AI algorithms learned to recognize voice and body emotional distress and unnatural jerks or movements. Field trials will be carried out among college students and hostel dwellers. The project will help add to national women safety and Smart India missions by making safety technologies scalable, affordable, and user-friendly. Deliverables will be a functional prototype, research papers, a submitted patent, and a commercialization roadmap.
