DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

Department of Chemistry was established in 1981. The department is offering branch specific syllabus to cater the needs of engineering departments and also arranging guest lectures to the students to familiarize with latest advancements in technology. The department is organizing regularly FDPs, Workshops/Conferences to update the knowledge of faculty. All the faculty members are pursuing NPTEL courses regularly.

FACULTY

Dr. P. Venugopal is Head of the Department. The department has 6 experienced faculty members. Five of them are doctorates. One UGC sponsored minor project has been completed. The faculty members have published more than 42 research papers in International, National journals and Conferences.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The department is spread in an area of 398 Sq. Meters including laboratories. The lab equipped with the instruments including Spectrophotometer, Colorimeters, pH meters, Conductivity meters, Potentiometers, De-ionizer and Electronic balance etc.,

To infuse knowledge of chemical principles of engineering materials to the prospective engineers for meeting the challenges in vibrant technology.
